Shannon Sheldon, a Las Vegas native, has proudly served her hometown as a CTE teacher and magnet coordinator for almost two and a half decades. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and holds her Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  Known for bringing "Project Runway" style challenges to her fashion classroom, Shannon has been named NACTE New CTE Teacher of the Year, CTE Teacher of the Year and CTE Teacher Educator of the Year. Shannon loves engaging students with the "Science" in FCS and is also an advocate for gender inclusivity in the classroom. A passionate advocate for CTE,  Shannon regularly recruits industry professionals to become career and technical educators and mentors them to be successful. A lifelong learner, Shannon is constantly seeking new methods and techniques to improve her practice to provide students with an exceptional CTE classroom experience.
